Choice of sail cloth ...

The sail cloth is a Dacron polyester cloths containing an incorporated impregnation.
Either from BAINBRIDGE (USA), CONTENDER (Holland) or from DIMENSION POLYANT (Germany).

Product characteristics ... 

The special impregnation (polycote) ensures that the sail cloth becomes more stiff and rigid than for instance the cruising sails ensuring a maximal shape stability.

CONTENDER sailcloth consists of 4 asymmetric threats. The sail cloth from CONTENDER has a bit harder surface than the sail cloths from BAINBRIDGE and POLYANT DIMENSION.  For Racing boats possesing a particular small foresail like for instance the Yngling,  the folk boat or some of the dinghy classes we recommend our sailors to use the CONTENDER cloth for the jib and either the BAINBRIDGE cloth or the POLYANT DIMENSION cloth for the main sail.
